August 2001. What happened next...

...Our friends fell in love with Rosedale.

For years I had been receiving real estate agent blurbs about houses for sale, but it always seemed an Impossible Dream. A bad photocopied page arrived one day, and I sent it off to our friends with a large question thing I knew we were off to have a look at the little fibro cottage for sale at a rock bottom price. It was badly presente inside, but look past the surface, and a 3 bedroom house 400 metres level walk from THAT beach revealed itself. And it's much more affordable to buy a half share in a house than the entire thing yourself.

The lagoon was open to the sea (relatively rare event):

Easter 2001

For the first time ever, we stayed at North Rosedale, as guests of some friends who had rented a house there. This was a very propitious trip, because it became the catalyst for what happened next...(see next blog entry)
