Medieval battles by the sea

The Society for Creative Anachronism began in Berkeley, California in 1966. Now there are groups worldwide. Last Saturday, groups in the "Southern Adora" [Illawarra] area held a Tourney By The Sea and feast at Malua Bay.

Train set, Malua Bay

Many people like to play with train sets. Not many people devote their front and side yard to one!

Street Library, Malua Bay

Are you aware of the street library movement? "Street Libraries are beautiful homes for books, planted in your front yard. They invite your neighbours to share the joys of reading and create lasting connections inside your community."  Find out more by clicking here.

This street library is next to the community notice board outside the supermarket at Malua Bay.

Easter Saturday

Easter Saturday is the traditional day for the AGM of the Rosedale Association on the log cabin lawns. I went in the morning. The afternoon we had a good game of tennis at the Malua Bay courts.

Tennis at Malua Bay Jan 2007

I love the setting of the tennis courts, surroundd by a stand of spotted gums.
