Two sides of the road - George Bass Drive, Broulee

Stopped the car on George Bass Drive and photographed both the eastern and western sides of the road. The fire did not cross the road at this point.

Mogo (9 Jan 2020)

An indication of why we were withut electricity for a couple of weeks. Crews worked enormously
long hours to restore service.

Fortunately not all of the main street of Mogo was destroyed.

The next phase: hazard identification (9 Jan 2020)

After the fires, the Hazmat teams came round to tape off properties and identify hazards for further investigation. Lots of the houses, including the one next to us, were older ones containing asbestos.

It all had to go (7 Jan 2020)

The fires cut electricity (and telecommunications) to our area. By the time we got back the fridge and freezer had been without power for a week. So, out it all went. Food into slop buckets, plastics, jars etc saved for recycling. Our wheelie bins had been destroyed, but Council replaced them very quickly.
