The fires cut electricity (and telecommunications) to our area. By the time we got back the fridge and freezer had been without power for a week. So, out it all went. Food into slop buckets, plastics, jars etc saved for recycling. Our wheelie bins had been destroyed, but Council replaced them very quickly.
