Mogo (9 Jan 2020)

An indication of why we were withut electricity for a couple of weeks. Crews worked enormously
long hours to restore service.

Fortunately not all of the main street of Mogo was destroyed.

Grassfire near Mogo

When you live in the country, bushfire is an ever-present possibility (along with drought and flood). This small grassfire had more smoke than flame.

Meet Jackie at Mogo

Jackie runs a terrific shop at Mogo, called Revamp, Reuse, Upcycle. She sells old wares to reuse, Australian made chalk and milk paints for revamping and all manner of fascinating bits and pieces.

I used paints from here to revamp a weary looking outdoor table and chairs.

Easter Sunday at Mogo

The flowering gums in Mogo car park are magnificent at Easter. I've shown these before, but always worth a return look.

The locally made wood carvings in the main streets of Mogo and Moruya are magnificent. I was most negligent in not stopping to notice the details of the carver, but will do so next time.

This old tractor sits looking rather sculptural on a block near the car park.

Flowering gums, Mogo carpark

These gorgeous grafted eucalypts grace the car park at Mogo. I am desperately trying to wotk out where to plant one at our place. They're developed by Tarrawood Nursery at Bega.
